Time to tell you a bit more about our Help for Heroes Teddy Bears! Both have been on active service in Afghanistan with 617 Sqdn, the Dambusters!! They are now back in the UK and will shortly be auctioned to raise money for Help for Heroes (www.helpforheroes.org.uk). What a unique opportunity to buy your loved one that gift of a lifetime! Anyway, here goes....
Teddy No.1 is our 'girl' teddy with a slimmer stomach!! She can be distinguished by a RAF Tornado patch sewn onto her Help for Heroes Rugby top! She is also a very special bear as she had the honour of flying her mission in the Tornado GR4 of 617 sqdn 'boss' Wg Cdr Taylor.
and his WSO Flight Leuitenant Jane Pickersgill - how cool is that!
The mission took our bear high over the Afghan mountains before her triumphant return to the airbase at Kandahar, and subsequently back home to the UK!

The auction details will be announced on this blog in the next week or so to give you all time to save up!!! Even better - she comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Wg Cdr Taylor and Flt Lt Pickergill and a CD full of photo's of the Bears time in Afghanistan.
