Good Luck call from Afghanistan!

Feel very humble as I write this post. Just had a phonecall out of the blue from my main contact with 617 Sqdn in Afghanistan, Flt Sgt Paul Peden, to wish me and the other dambusters 2012 riders a safe journey when we set off for the Charity Ride to the Mohne and Sorpe Dams late on Tuesday evening!

What a fantastic surprise and what a gesture from a man who is on active service in Afghanistan and on 'nights' too, it was 1.20am over there when paul called!
